Been a little busy but here's my reviews of last Sunday's trifecta

F1: MONACO
Another dominant performance by the Mercedes team.  Nico Rosberg won the pole and dominated the whole race, repeating at Monaco in what an exciting race throughout.  Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo rounded out the podium.  So far, the Mercedes team is 6-for-6 and definitely see a rivalry between Rosberg & Hamilton, just like Senna/Prost back in the early 90s.  Meanwhile, Rosberg leads the championship standings by 4 points going into Montreal next Sunday.

INDYCAR: INDY 500
In what was an action-packed race in Indy, featuring nearly 40 lead changes, Ryan Hunter-Reay became the first American to win the 500 since Sam Hornish, Jr. did it 8 years ago.  The race was caution-free until Lap 150 when Charlie Kimball crashed.  Scott Dixon, James Hinchcliffe & Ed Carpenter were also involved in similar wrecks as well towards the finish.  Hunter-Reay beat Helio Castroneves by 6-hundredths of a second, making it the 2nd closest finish in history of the prestigious race.  Kurt Busch, who attempted the "double" was the highest finishing rookie, 6th. 

NASCAR: COCA-COLA 600
NASCAR's longest race was clean throughout, small wrecks and featured engine woes by drivers including Kurt Busch (completed 909.5 miles of 1100) and Danica Patrick.  Jimmie Johnson & Kevin Harvick dominated the race, combining to lead nearly 300 of the 400 laps at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  With tight racing throughout, it was Johnson who took the checkered flag, becoming the 9th different driver to win this season. 


LOOKING AHEAD
I know I was quick, but NASCAR's 3 series take on the Monster Mile at Dover International Speedway starting tomorrow night with the Truck Series.  The IndyCar series returns to street-course racing on the streets of Belle Isle (Detroit) for a double-header weekend, first of 3 this season.  One race held Saturday, the other on Sunday.  Should be exciting racing for all.
