Incase you missed it the 2010 NFL schedule was released earlier this evening. The Dallas Cowboys, according to NFL.com have the 3rd hardest schedule for this upcoming season. Following is the 2010 Cowboys schedule:
Week 1 (9/12) at Washington
Week 2 (9/19) vs. Chicago
Week 3 (9/26) at Houston
Week 4 (10/3) BYE
Week 5 (10/10) vs. Tennessee
Week 6 (10/17) at Minnesota
Week 7 (10/24) vs. NY Giants
Week 8 (10/31) vs. Jacksonville
Week 9 (11/7) at Green Bay
Week 10 (11/14) at NY Giants
Week 11 (11/21) vs. Detroit
Week 12 (11/25, Thanksgiving) vs. New Orleans
Week 13 (12/5) at Indianapolis
Week 14 (12/12) vs. Philadelphia
Week 15 (12/19) vs. Washington
Week 16 (12/25) at Arizona (NFL Network game)
Week 17 (1/2) at Philadelphia
As a lifelong Cowboys fan, I think that this is definitely a tough schedule, especially during the stretch from week 6-10 and when again Thanksgiving through the end of the season. This includes road trips to MIN, GB and IND, while they're home against NO on Thanksgiving. The division matchups are always tough, and with playing the Giants and Eagles on different 3-week spreads, it could be hard for the boys in blue to be good, but are expected to win. With looking at this schedule, Dallas is gonna be a tough team that will make the playoffs.

Yeah that schedule is pretty tough, but it serves them right for having such a cake-walk schedule last year. The divisional games are usually tough, although washington was awful last year,and the giants collapsed down the stretch. They also played detriot and St Louis, among others. So what goes around comes around, its gonna be a long year for Big D.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a tough schedule for the Cowboys. I think its a good thing, though, as this team should contend for the Super Bowl (which happens to be in Big D). The more good teams they face, the better, as it could prepare them well for the playoffs, where you only see good teams. I still think they finish 1st or 2nd in the NFC East, but I don't see them winning the Super Bowl.
